NEW DATE: LOWER ALBINA BLOCK PARTY
Lower Albina Block Party
Presented by Albina Vision Trust & Colas Construction | July 25, 12 to 6 PM
Street Mural Painting | 9 AM to 12 PM
ALBINA! Stand up.
Albina Vision Trust is proud to partner with Good in the Hood and World Stage Theatre to celebrate another year of the roots, rhythm, and power that have always defined these blocks. We invite you to join us for the Lower Albina Block Party at Albina One (1771 N. Flint Ave), presented by AVT and COLAS CONSTRUCTION.
This year’s theme — “Reclaim the District” — honors the rich cultural legacy that continues to bind Portland’s Black community in Albina and reflects AVT’s role in stewarding the largest restorative redevelopment effort in the country. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape what is built in Portland’s central city, how it’s built, and who it’s built for.
We’re starting the day by refreshing the “Emergence of Joy” street mural in front of Albina One.
Originally created to welcome the first families back to Lower Albina in more than 40 years, this mural represents joy, return, and possibility. This year, community members of all ages are invited to help renew it—making it a collective expression of art, memory, and reclamation
